Scaling Model Experiment of Lunar Rover’s Mobility Performance Based on Similarity Model Theory

Abstract:

In order to carry out lunar rover traction performance test under low-gravity, the paper derived dimensionless traction characteristics of the whole group considering vehicle traction performance impact factors,based on the similarity theory. And based on similarity model theory, it also deduced proportion of traction performance model experiment constrained by preservation of soil mechanical parameters. Finally, it adviced a new method of scaling model experiment which was concluded and developed from former Soviet Union of past scaling model experiment, which can solve the difficult to machine problem with the scale of 1/6 model.

摘要:

为开展月球车牵引性能的低重力模拟试验,从影响车辆牵引性能的因素出发,根据相似理论推导了牵引特性的无因次全组。以待试验土壤参数不变为约束条件,根据模型试验理论,推导了缩比牵引性能模型试验的比例因子。将推导结果同前苏联模型试验理论所得结果进行了对比分析,提出一种全尺寸的牵引性能模型试验方法,可解决1/6比例模型无法加工制作的难题。
