Abstract:

An automatic algorithm for determining the optimal mold parting direction was proposed. Features were recognized from the part firstly and treated as the investigation subjects in the following. Operations among the visibility analysis of features were implemented to get the candidate parting directions, then the determination principles of parting direction were introduced and the main parting direction was gained. This algorithm can determine the optimal parting direction and gain the information about the undercuts synchronously. Automated mold parting direction determination system was developed on UG flatform using C++ language and the efficiency and precision of this segment in mold design are improved. It supplies the solid foundation for the following mold design.

摘要:

提出一种自动判别模具脱模方向的算法。该算法以基于图的特征识别所获得的特征作为研究对象,通过特征间可视性分析运算来判断零件潜在的脱模方向,引入脱模方向判定原则,最终确定出脱模方向。该算法可解决存在多特征复杂零件脱模方向的判定问题,不但可以获得最优脱模方向,还可得到侧凹特征的相关信息。在UG平台上开发的自动脱模方向判别系统,提高了模具设计中该环节计算的效率和精度,为模具设计后续工作提供可靠保障。
