Research on Metal Flow of Internal Thread of High Strength Steel during Cold Extrusion for Aircraft Landing Gear

摘要:

研究了飞机起落架内螺纹冷挤压成形过程,并通过对材料的金相分析,得到了牙顶、牙侧和牙底三个位置沿层深的组织变化规律。结果表明,牙顶处金属材料受到丝锥棱齿的压力相对较小,并且金属流向牙顶两侧上方的区域时受到的阻力最小;牙底部分受到丝锥棱齿的压力最大,因此,其变形最大,形成拉长纤维组织的密度也最大。同时,挤压过程中材料硬度和强度显著增加,而塑性和韧性出现下降,产生加工硬化现象,这大大提高了冷挤压内螺纹的表面质量和机械强度。

Abstract:

The forming process of internal thread of aircraft landing gear with cold extrusion was studied. Through metallographic analysis of the material, microstructure change and deformation mechanism of crest, flank and root of the thread along the layer depth direction were obtained. The results show that the pressure on the crest of thread under the teeth of extrusion tap was relatively small, and the root was biggest. When the metal flows to the crest, the resistance is smallest.In the extrusion processes, the hardness and the intensity of the material are increased significantly,and the plasticity and the toughness are decreased. It appeares work-hardening phenomenon and increases the surface texture and the mechanical strength greatly of internal thread with cold extrusion.
