Study on Electron Beam Welding of Thin Niobium Plates

薄铌板电子束焊接工艺研究

Abstract:

Superconductivity niobium cavity is an important part of high energy accelerator,it can be made by electron beam welding. Proper welding parameters might be found through the niobium plate welding for the welding of superconductivity niobium cavity. This paper described the welding technology of electron beam welding. Under different welding requirements, reasonable welding parameters can be quickly found, by the way of changing focusing current and welding current. Then, using the parameters above,other experiments will be done to see whether the weld is good. This method can be used to get expected welds effectively.

摘要:

超导铌腔是高能加速器的重要组成部分,采用高真空电子束焊接工艺对超导铌腔进行加工制造时,铌板焊接试验可以为超导铌腔的制造提供可行的焊接参数。据此,主要研究了薄铌板的焊接试验流程。在不同焊缝质量要求下,通过改变聚焦电流和焊接电流大小的方式,快速找到符合要求的参数值,然后对这些参数进行试验,观察其焊缝是否可行。结果表明,试验方法切实可行,效率高,焊缝质量可以达到预期目标。
