基于最小理论支撑体积的模型三维打印的打印方向分析

Printing Orientation Analysis of Model 3D Printing Based on Minimum Theory Support Volumes

摘要: 针对三维打印过程中,打印后模型的支撑体积需减小的问题,研究了模型打印方向与模型支撑体积的对应关系,提出了一种计算最小理论支撑体积所对应的模型打印方向的方法。介绍了离散网格模型理论支撑体积的理论背景,给出了理论支撑体积的计算方法;分析了理论支撑体积函数的可导性,针对该函数的不可导性,利用无导数优化算法计算了最小理论支撑体积所对应的打印方向。实验表明,所提出的方法能够准确地计算理论支撑体积所对应的打印方向。

Abstract: In the 3D printing processes, aiming at the problems that the support volumes of the model needed to decrease after printing,the relationships between the printing orientations and the support volumes were studied, and a method to search the printing orientations toward the minimal theory support volumes was developed. First, the background of theory support volumes of discrete grid models was introduced, and a calculative method was suggested to minimize the theory support volumes. Second, the continuity of the theory support volume functions was analyzed to overcome the discontinuity problems of the functions. A derivative-free optimization algorithm was proposed to obtain the correct orientation of minimum theory support volumes. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm may accurately calculate the correct orientations corresponding to the theory support volumes.
