Abstract:

The key technologies of the cable harness assembly planning system were studied for the first time, which included cable harness assembly modeling, cable harness assembly planning, assembly animation making, and three-dimensional process card producing. Then a prototype system was developed based on Pro/E platform, which has shortened the product development cycle and reduced the costs of product development. The assembly animation and three-dimensional process cards made by the system can instruct the assembly workers effectively.
