A mathematical relationship between the interior size and the ex-radius of a container which was used in rubber pad forming process was obtained by building mechanical model of the container at the working state, performing the finite element analysis and optimizing the fillet radius of the container at the corner. To validate the mathematical relationship, the rubber pad forming experiment was carried out. Finally, design and strength checking of the container were performed by taking the results of calculation and the FE simulation.
